Alzheimer’s Association
When the Massachusetts/New Hampshire branch of the Alzheimer’s Association needed to move to their new offices at the Riverworks Complex in Watertown, MA, they knew Olympia was the right company for the job. As a smaller office, they didn’t have the resources for an in-house project, move, or logistics manager. Olympia happily guided the office manager in space planning, placarding, labeling, and other pre-move preparations. We also held a pre-move meeting for the employees to show them how to pack up their work spaces.
To ensure minimal downtime, the move started late Friday afternoon and continued into Saturday. We had crews at the old and new offices simultaneously in order to complete the move quickly and efficiently. Olympia even broom cleaned the old office so that by the time our crew left, it was ready to turn over to the landlord.
According to office manager Kate Robinson, “It was a pleasure to work with such professionals. Your guys were, to the man, respectful, pleasant and hardworking.” They were so impressed with our services that they continue to hire us every year to assist with their Walk to End Alzheimer’s and RUN TRI RIDE to End Alzheimer’s events.
After the success of the Alzheimer’s Association’s office move, Olympia moved an additional five companies into the same office complex, the Riverworks.
Harvard Business Publishing
Not all moves need a truck. Harvard Business Publishing is growing, so they hired Olympia Office Movers to perform an internal “re-stack” of 380 employees. Moving each set up to its new location like a puzzle, but our crew managed to relocate 160 employees per weekend. Each employee’s belongings were transported to their new location and their cubicle was broken down, moved, and rebuilt. All computers were also disconnected, moved, and reconnected.
Olympia also cleaned and organized Harvard Business Publishing’s 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse. In just three days, we inventoried, organized, and stocked all the stored materials and removed 7,000 lbs. of unwanted items to the recycling center. Both projects were completed on time and under budget.
